Part of the Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CURE) Lunch & Learn Series
The workshop will open with a brief discussion of the power of Course-Based Undergraduate Research Experience (CUREs). Attendees will be invited to join small groups in Zoom breakout rooms, where they will identify potential barriers to implementing a CURE at their own institutions. Participants can focus on either a CURE they are currently using or on the Biochemistry Authentic Scientific Inquiry Lab (BASIL) CURE. The flexible design of the BASIL curriculum will be used to highlight ways participants can overcome some of the identified implementation barriers. Most importantly, participants will be provided with resources to create a preliminary individualized CURE implementation plan and know next-steps and support available for realizing their individual plans.
